We
are not able to take any hazardous materials including
chemicals, gasoline, oils, paints, solvents, car
batteries, asbestos or asbestos containing materials,
propane tanks or any types of toxic waste.
Why
can't you take paint and other chemicals?
We are not legally able to carry hazardous
materials in our trucks. Please call your local city
recycling center for help with disposing of any
hazardous materials.
Do you
charge extra for any items [surcharges]?
Yes.
Certain items have landfill surcharges and we must
charge extra for these items. These include air
conditioners, appliances, auto/truck tires, mattress &
box spring, television/computer monitor and water heaters.
What
do you do with the trash that is removed?
All items are properly disposed of at a state registered
dump facility or transfer station.
Do I
pay for the whole truck, even if I only have a single
item to throw away?
No. You only pay for the space you actually use
in our truck. Please call now and we will give you an
estimate on the work.
Is Dump Express insured and licensed?
Yes. Dump Express is fully insured and licensed. With
Dump Express you can be assured that your home and
property are fully protected and that all items are
properly disposed of.
Why can't your tell me the exact price over the phone?
We will give you an estimate over the phone. However, we
must actually see the volume and weight of the goods you
wish to dispose of in order to give you an accurate
price. You will receive a complete quote on site before
we begin any work.
How
far in advance should I book an appointment?
We
often can deliver your dumpster or pick up your items
the same day you call. But please try to schedule the
work in advance to make sure the work can be done in a
timely fashion.
Can
you remove junk if I am not at home or on site?
Yes. When we arrive we will call you with a
complete estimate for the work. However it is better if
you are at home when we arrive.
How
much trash can you carry away?
We can carry away items that two people can
reasonably lift and carry to our truck. Our truck can
hold 15 cubic yards of trash. The container is
5'x8'x14'.
Can
you come after hours or on weekends?
We are happy to try and meet your scheduling
needs. Please call for assistance.
Is
the cost of unloading at the dump included in my price?
Yes. The cost of proper disposal is included. We
pay the same rate at the dump as you would.
Is
it better to get full service or my own dumpster?
Full service includes two workers who will remove
any items from inside your house or place of business.
If you need assistance our full service is best.
If you can move your own items into a dumpster placed on
your property then self service may be better. A
dumpster is a great way to clean up your whole house or
yard.
Can
you deliver a dumpster if I am not at home or on site?
Yes.
Just give us advance notice of where the dumpster must
be placed.
What
size dumpsters are available?
We offer 10 yard and 15 yard containers. Our 10
yard container measures 4'x8'x12'. Our 15 yard container
measures 5'x8'x14'.
When do I pay for my dumpster?
The hauling fee will be charged at the
time of delivery. A second charge occurs only if the
pick up date exceeds the time limit allowed, or the
weight of the material in the container exceeds the
allowed weight limit, or if surcharge items are loaded
in the container.
What can't I
put in my dumpster?
Hazardous materials
including chemicals, gasoline, oils, paints, solvents,
car batteries, asbestos or asbestos containing
materials, propane tanks or any type of toxic waste.
Concrete, brick or rubble, not more than 10% of the
allowed weight of the container [10 yard container 400
pounds. 15 yard container 600 pounds].
Can I move my dumpster?
No. Any
damage done will be the user's responsibility. If you
need to move the dumpster please call Dump Express and
we will move it for you for a reasonable fee.
How high can I
load my dumpster?
Please only load to the top
of the wall edge of your dumpster. If over-loading
occurs additional charges will be assessed. If unsafe,
the container will be unloaded to a safe level.
